October indeed is my birth month. No wonder good things are happening more often. The latest is an another award for this blog from S3 aka Sreeram. Thanks a lot for gifting me, my ‘second’ blog award.

Unlike last award, this one is more formal. It has some rules and regulations. !

The rules are:

Past, Present and Future [Tag]

Whenever I see tags in blogs, I think why am I not tagged often. Now, on second thoughts, I wonder whether its for good or worse. The following tag bestowed upon me by Sreeram, has set me thinking of my past, present and future. As I am writing down the answers, I realize how candid it is to accept a tag and dangerous to refresh the golden memoirs…

I have been tagged by Sreeram a while ago on the 123 book tag. Initially I thought it to be very easy one, and i thought I would do it the minute I got the time and internet on, but the choice of books have led me crazy. I am supposed to post the next 3 sentences from the fifth line of page 123 of the nearest book. But which book?

I was reading the “3 mistakes of my life” by Chetan Bhagat when I  was tagged. But I didn’t had the pc that time in Chennai. So I thought I would take it up when I am at home, in Bangalore with nothing to do. But now, the number of books are too much lying around to pick one. I then thought of writing something from “Arranged Marriage” but it didn’t seemed to be interesting. It was a collection of short stories, and if I post some lines of some short story, it wouldn’t blend. Then I had “Brida”, but it was already posted by Sujatha. I glanced through some other books too which was unread, but nothing seems to be captivating except for this one. Its by Paulo Coelho again, “By the River Piedra I sat down and wept“. I don’t know what is it that urges me again to buy his books again and again. Maybe its food-for-thought imprint in every line of his book? Maybe. Maybe one day I would get fed up of his books and style too… hmmm.

Anyways here they are:

5 things about myself

This tag was playing around everywhere for a while long back, so since nothing else to blog, but since I want to blog, I am picking the tag without being tagged by anyone! I am not sure what five things I can write about which gives insight into my nature or behaviour to others. Hmm, let me try.

1. I hate tomatoes. But I can have them in the form of tomato ketchup or raw ones in salt, or along with burger.

2. I play veena a bit. Music has always been a passion, and veena I did learn for some time as part of it… But I don’t know why, I am not able to sing or play veena when someone asks me to do so. I really do hurt my parents cos of my this behaviour.

3. I get irritated and angry very fast, but I cool down instantly. I am extremely sensitive and emotional and think too much and can ponder over that and this and the results of which you people are reading this blog. So enjoy!!!

4. I used to or was an addict of Hindi serials. Rest of the time I used to sit glued to pc and if you ask what I will do, if net is there, I spend time browsing that n this, if not, I will check all the thorough analysis of all the folders, and if found any softwares, I try them out, or if I get any software, I install them, try it out, uninstall it, and this will go on till the pc gets stuck, which happens very fast usually. Don’t worry I do that especially if its not my PC!

5. I don’t know swimming. There are lot of sports and exercises which I have not played. In my young age, I wished to take participate in lots, but either my health or some reason or other posed as hindrance. Similarly roller skating, table tennis, badminton, squash (Did you know that I used to play with ball alone by hitting onto wall, and using my hand as bat, to imitate the game of squash!) are few games I had in my wish list. I used to play carroms with appa (carrom-specialist!!) and chess with the neighbour boy (to whom I lost all time )… Hmmm. Those were the days…

Blog!!!

Long before I was tagged by rakesh. I am not sure whether I have the answers for the following, but still will give a try..
What according to you, is a blog?

A blog is an online journal which represents the thoughts and views of an individual. People can blog about their opinions, movie reviews, their frustrations, imaginations, dreams, fears and wishlists and many more…

How did you come to know abt blogging?

Initially when I was a forum member, lots of other members had their own web pages and their own weblogs(blog). I too was interested in creating a web page of my own using yahoo geocities, then a personal site using the same and then the blog using blogspot. I too had become a member of blogger.com. Also I tried to install forums based on phpbb or invision free. Then while searching for similar softwares, found many wordpress blogs. Then with the help of Sreejith who allowed me to share his server space for my blog, I setup this blog. I never planned or dreamt that I would be writing so many posts. But then I think blogging is very addictive like orkutting!

How far has it changed your perception?

It has given me much confidence to interpret and open up my mind. Also I have understood that many people like me have many views and thoughts and opinions which they write down as blog, which they dont express in person.

Are you true to yourself while blogging?

Of course yes.. I don’t know what do you mean by lying…

Any blog you wish to be the author of and why?

As of now I dont have any. I just wish I have more free time for posting more on my blog.

What it has preached you?

Hmm.. Did not get the real meaning… If you mean what have you learnt by blogging, I would say, many people read your blog, say your friends and anonymous and through blogging many people are knowing you without you knowin about them.
