Raindrops

The rain started drizzling all of a sudden. The streaks of water drops were lashing and swaying amongst the winds.

It was getting cold. I remained lied down in bed. As though my mind was sleeping and body awake. I closed my eyes and some blank and white images got rendered across them. I opened my eyes. I couldn’t survive it anymore. I enabled the songs from my walkman. Loud. So that it could drive away all the sleepiness from my mind. I closed my eyes. No images now. Great. I succeeded. It was then the rain started.

IT ya Non-IT?

The Times of India job supplement, Ascent, had six pages today. Few weeks back, it contained mostly advertisements of the newspaper itself rather than of any jobs. I could find in that today, a few job openings were there. Even if it is one or two companies, it may be indicating that the situation is improving. Or atleast a hope, that it may improve.

On top of it, last day I heard a good news that one of our friends who was out of job for months, had finally got a job. And also another news that some others almost want to quit their job, because they are enough of it! Contradiction! Right?

IPC Section 377 and LGBT

The Section 377 is making headlines these days. Recently held Gay parade had so much publicity in the news papers.

It means India too is changing, with the enormous people coming forward revealing their sexuality. Now there would be more of films dealing with this topic and that too serious ones and not like the film “Dostana”. And there would be celebrity gay and lesbian couples and their gossip in the “Bangalore Times”.

Rama Rama Kya Drama!

Men complain they cannot watch serials. That they cannot withstand all the “rona dhona” and all. But even if you switch off the television, how will you keep your eyes closed with all the drama happening around you?

Fizaaaaa….. Fizaaa……!!!! (Song from “Fiza” film)!!

Yes! Chand has come back to Fiza. Is Karan Johar listening? He would have got a triangular love story by now. Not that he would not have already got 3 or 4 love stories in mind, but still… I guess, soon there would be a film by him on polygamy and the upcoming trends of “indecisive love” which would mean, ‘unable to know whom you are loving’. Film name would be “Kaun Kisse Karta Hai Pyar”. As he has got out of his K word, it could also maybe “Fiza Chand” or “Chand Fiza”. The song lyrics would now surely contain those words, “Chand” and “Fiza” as they are very poetic not only in names, but also in real life.

Times of India rated it 5 stars. Everywhere people gave the best ratings for the film. Said it was unconventional. Truly modern. Abhay Deol is the best. Chanda is best.The song emotional atyachar was superhit.

I disagree.

I am not sure, whether I should write the post as a review, because I could not even understand many parts of the film. Had I not watched the previous or original Devdas movie, I would not have understood what they were showing at all. There were so many scenes where I raised my eyebrows (not that you can easily identify that raising!). Also there were so many unresolved questions too.

The First Year…

People say “marriages are made in heaven”. But they forget that after marriage they have to live on this earth!

The first year is supposed to be the most beautiful moments, after the engagement to marriage period. I do not deny, but then we never know what lies in the future. May be its more bright than now? They say love dithers over years especially when all get busy with their lives and responsibility increases over money, land, parents, children and themselves. But maybe its just that love has found its base, and has gotten invisible over the years, just as the love we have towards our parents.

Mélange – Random Tidbits VII

..::.. Have you seen the new Domex Ad? Recently, I was watching the television with a plate of beautifully cut sweet mangoes, brought from home town. They were incredibly sweet, delicious, tasty, juicy and all that you wanted in them. As soon as I placed the fork with the mango on my tongue, the screen in front of me displayed the disgusting photo of the toilet with all “those” stains all over it!!!!

Agreed, that the product is to clean the toilet and hence it maybe required to show them, but why the unclean parts? Does ads for the sanitary pads show the blood and the used pads? Or to show the comfortness of panties, do they show the private parts? I wonder why then there is no objection to the toilet ads then!!

Election madness!

Only a fortnight to go. Then all the results will be out. And all the election craziness will stop. Its not that I do not like to vote, or does not support democracy and all that, but I just hate the campaigning methods. They seek attention creating all the rumours and speeches or bashing the other parties. They create road blocks by visiting all the small roads and houses to show their “affection”.  I recently saw one or two roads tarred. Those were the worst main roads, with lots of pits n all, as if the road was built on sand. I am not sure whether it got maintained due to the complaints or due to the election fever. And most of all is the Prime Minister seat chase. Should I call it hilarious?

I am really counting the days…
